A synthesis of three different aes­thetic eras guides the design of this exhibition catalog for The McMullen Museum of Art at Bos­ton College. Each era corresponds to a mode of collection: subtle cross motifs evoke the churches of the medieval world, while duotone photographs and the Walbaum typeface allude to the nine­teenth century’s cabinets of curiosi­ties.
